Wrexham 2021-22 Macron Away Kit

Wrexham AFC revealed their new Macron away shirt for the 21/22 season, featuring newly-signed partners, TikTok, Aviation Gin, Expedia and a personal touch from Rob McElhenney.

Wrexham next season will recognise chairman Rob McElhenney’s hometown of Philadelphia, with the green of the city’s most known team, the Philadelphia Eagles - as well as the collar and unique lace unlike anything in football.

The back of the shirt is just as personal, with the words ‘It’s Always Sunny…’ stitched in tribute to ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, Rob’s award-winning comedy which has been enjoyed by so many since first airing in 2005 alongside his wife, Kaitlin Olson, Danny DeVito, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day.

Not a Wrexham fan but following their progress with a lot of interest. I can't understand the comments disliking the influences from the new owners. They've invested heavily and focused on improving the club and supporting the community. No one can please everyone but perhaps a little gratitude and appreciation?

Absolutely brilliant. For those questioning the 'Always Sunny' tie-in, it's there for the same reason the kit is 'Philly green', sponsored by TikTok and Aviation Gin and seen on 'Deadpool' - finances. The club need every leg-up it can get, so why not tap into a huge fanbase and cultural phenomenon to shift a few more shirts and boost the club's profile in the States?

It's a really nice kit but the self indulgent stuff from the chairman is a bit weird. It's a football club with years of history, not an Instagram profile.
