The 1986FA Cup Final took place at Wembley on 10th May 1986 and was a Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton.
The match came just seven days after Liverpool had won the league title, with Everton finishing as runners up. Liverpool and Everton were regarded as as the top sides in the English League. Liverpool came out with a 3-1 victory with two goals from Ian Rush and one from Craig Johnston after Gary Lineker had put Everton ahead in the first half.
