New York City FC have introduced an updated club badge, as part of a broader visual identity refresh launched earlier this year.
The revised badge builds on the club’s established identity, honouring the original design by retaining the iconic NYC monogram and core elements, while making subtle improvements to enhance the brand's visual strength.
The badge features a redrawn, thicker monogram that is more closely integrated with the "New York City Football Club" lettering around it. The text now uses a custom club typeface, created by renowned New York-based typographer Tobias Frere-Jones, which is inspired by the pre-unification signage of the New York City Subway.

The light blue and orange outer rings of the badge have been thickened, improving legibility and creating stronger contrast between the colours. This refinement also allows the club to introduce a modular logo system, with the NYC monogram prominently featured across various wordmarks.
