Inter Milan 2017-18 Kit and Apparel Concepts by Emre Gultekin #InterMilan #forzainter #interfc #internazionale

These Internazionale - Inter Milan - concept designs are the work of sportswear and graphic designer Emre Gultekin. Following on from a previous Inter range we featured, the kits and apparel here are influenced by the city of Milan/Milano, and the history of the club.

More specifically, the “Nike Proposal Project”, which is dated as being from June 2016, features a Nerazzurri Home kit which nods to the world famous “Duomo di Milano” cathedral via the classic black and blue shirt’s stripes. The stained glass of the cathedral is referenced with a sublimated watermark pattern which also brings to mind the “wireframe” look on the new Canada Home shirt.

Paying tribute to the club itself, and the kit history, the white Away shirt carries a famous “nerazzurra” band from an Uhlsport release of yore. This is something many a fantasy designer has campaigned for the return of, but has yet only appeared, somewhat oddly, on the current Home shirt. It’s a look - Emre’s concept version, to be clear - which demonstrates that the combination of the graphic and the legendary Pirelli sponsor does not have to result in iconographical overkill.

Alongside textured goalkeeper shirts - a sort of camo pattern, or in a similar vein to the standard adidas Condivo 20 outfield template - the classy training wear carries a sleeve design positioned somewhere between the “ribbed” visual effect of the first generation (2016) Vapor kits and the 2018 ranges - most memorably sported by France as they triumphed in the Russian World Cup.

Finishing off the collection is striking leisurewear, with imaginative use of oversized crests and “Inter!” branding.
