Scotland X Adidas Kit Concept by Corinth

Scotland X Adidas Kit Concept by Corinth #scottishfootball #kitconcept #kitdesign

Whilst real football and real football kits are great, the lack of the beautiful game and kit news in recent months has reminded us that football design doesn’t begin and end with what makes it onto the world’s pitches. This fantasy Scotland kit from our sister site, DesignFootball.com, underlines that fact.

The adidas design, by longtime member “Corinth”, features a much lighter than usual royal blue shirt, with classy red and white wrapover v-neck and cuffs. The shorts are white and socks red with blue tops, but the standout feature is the stylised St Andrew’s Cross - the Saltire - across the chest.

It’s something which is familiar from Tenerife shirts and Scotland rugby shirts, but such a contrasting graphic - an oversized flag detail likely to fall foul of international football regulations - hasn’t been seen on an “Alba” Home design, with only a white change kit worn in a famous win over France in Paris being so boldly patriotic in a similar vein.

It's only a concept kit , I'm a Celtic fan and I like it and when I look at it I see the flag of our country , small minded bigots get over it

I'm with you Paddy Mac. The blue is too light and the only red in a Scotland strip should be the Lion Rampant in the crest.

@Cantona walks among us Who's the bigot?

I'm certainly not dissing it, colours in football don't bother, I'm highlighting the problem we have at Celtic with some fans, the outcry when the official Scotland kit was released was immense at Parkhead with some saying they'd not buy it because it had red on the kit, personally all Scotland kits should have some red on them, and the Saltire too.

It saddens me that there's a distinct lack of Scotland flags for Celtic games, considering that Celtic are, regardless what the GB might say, are Scottish club.

I was merely pointing out that the it looks like the Scotrail trains.

@Smartin Tartan I'm not sure, I like red socks with Scotland kits, they've had them for years, going back decades.

Didn't they wear red socks at Wembley during the infamous defeat of England in 1977?

I'd guess my fellow Celtic fans will be up in arms about this concept "Too much like a Newco kit" "I ain't buying it, it's red, white & blue"

I do have to agree that it does look like a Scotrail train though

It is almost identical to the livery used on Scotrail trains
