Le Coq Sportif ’82 Italia Capsule Collection

Le Coq Sportif has launched a limited edition ’82 Italia capsule in honour of the Italian 1982 World Cup Winning Team when the French brand famously sponsored the ‘Gli Azzurri’

The new collection was designed in collaboration with Wolfgang Natlacen, a French-Italian artist and president of Milanese club AS Velasca, reputed to be the most artistic football club in the world and Le Coq Sportif partner since 2017.

From the t-shirt to the sneakers to the zipped jacket, the original 1982 outfits have been revisited through a contemporary and artistic eye with a touch of fantasy. From elegance to exclusivity, it is all these meticulously crafted details and nods to the past that enrich this collection, making it unique and elegant.

As far as the colours are concerned, it is the blue of the shirts that shines not only in the memory of those who lived through the final in Madrid but also in the eyes of the youngest who are rediscovering this magnificent adventure signed by Le Coq Sportif.

In reference to those worn by Marco Tardelli and his teammates during the anthem before each match, Le Coq Sportif has reworked and modernised the full zip jacket.

If one side remains faithful to the 1982 jacket with its blue stripes, the other is a fantasy assembly of the most beautiful Italian actions of the tournament, such as the celebration of the n°14 after his famous double against West Germany which led Italy to the top of the world.

The French artist Emmanuel Mousset used Indian ink to illustrate all these memories, making this jacket perfectly reversible while sublimating the material.
