AFC Bournemouth 2022-23 Umbro Away Kit

AFC Bournemouth have revealed their new Away kit for the 22/23 Premier League season.

Inspired by the palm trees on Bournemouth’s iconic seafront, the tropical foliage influences the graphic design of this season’s away kit.

Featuring a lightweight micro-eyelet to help alleviate sweat, the shirt has a graphic-printed front, stylised rib crew neckline and a dropped back hem with a twin needle finish.

‘AFCB’ is printed on the back of the neck, with a woven licensed label and club crest on the front.

As for the shorts, an elasticated waistband and internal drawcord are perfect for a secure fit, while a stacked embroidered diamond and woven club crest create a smart finish.

The socks are knitted white and have a blue calf single hoop. There’s also a white jacquard stacked diamond to the front of the leg, once again with ‘AFCB’ lettering on the back. A cotton footbed with an elasticated cuff makes for a nice finish around the ankle, which will provide comfort on the pitch.

I’m not even a Bournemouth fan but hugely admire this kit as a Hawaiian native. Definitely gained a new fan in me! Catch me in Honolulu in my new Cherries shirt!

This isn't a football shirt, it's a Hawaiian-style tee-shirt with a sponsor on it. But why stop here? Maybe next year just have a tee-shirt with a big picture of a leopard or Big Ben. All for a bit of innovation, but this is just bad.

How many people are actually going to buy a Bournemouth shirt?
Another pointless shirt for a nothing club.
I do agree about about Umbro, they are falling into a lazy trap.

What is going on with Bournemouth and Umbro this season? Bring in , an In house manufacturer next year or go with Macron.

Umbro are amongst the best in producing simple, classy kits..... what the hell were they thinking with both Bournemouth kits this year!? Absolute dross

Well, it is what it is. In a season where teams have made different, more flamboyant choices for their kits it fits into that bracket easily.

The concept of the kit I quite like but the colours, not so much.

Reminds me a bit of Miami Vice (showing my age there) but maybe that’s the look they were going for given the 80’s revival.
