Aston Villa 2022-23 Castore Away Kit

Aston Villa have unveiled the club’s new away kit for the 22/23 season.

Villa’s 2022/23 Castore away kit displays tonal jacquard stripes in timeless club blue, ribbed cuffs and a V-neckline with claret trim.

Laser-cut holes work with innovative, quick-drying fabric to provide extra ventilation to optimise performance.

The jerseys feature a 3D silicone Villa crest across both Replica and Pro editions, with the club’s iconic lion below the collar on the reverse.

Principal partner Cazoo, the UK’s leading online car retailer, will again proudly feature their branding across all men’s and women’s shirts, including junior and infant kits.

It’s the same colour as the home kit. Dislike it when clubs do this, comes across as arrogant, like a we change for no one type statement.

Bit disappointed in this. I always look forward to villa kits coming out even know I’m a Liverpool fan. I just always liked them. But this is a bit dull. The white and purple and black Hummel one from the late 80’s was the best one ever

We had this combo from Kappa in our first season back and I loved it - like the retro look of the shirt (reminds me of 80s Umbro) but I just think it's lacking something? Shame, as it makes it look a bit like an overpriced training shirt. Overall, OK though!

Suitable but not outstanding. I like the retro feel but I feel it needs more to really be brilliant.

Will those shorts ever get worn? If playing in the away kit, more often than not I assume that means playing in a team who play in red of similar colours, meaning the claret shorts won't be suitable?

Teams no longer have to wear different colour shorts, this has been in place in the premier league for a number of seasons and now also in the cups and EFL.
