Barcelona 2022-23 Nike Home Kit

This is the new FC Barcelona Home kit for the 2022/23 season, which is inspired by the Barcelona Olympics in the year that the city is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the transformation.

The new jersey harks back to the landmark event and is being presented today, Friday 3 June, under the tagline “The Flame Lives On”.

Its design evokes the spirit of that period of regeneration and redefinition, a time when Barcelona opened up to the world and the world opened up to Barcelona.

The design of home strip evokes the new light introduced to the city of Barcelona with the creation of new spaces and most especially new connections to the sea, an idea that is represented by the different coloured stripes on the shirt, where red alternates with two different shades of blue, one navy and the other lighter. The same navy blue also features on the collar, sleeves, shorts, and socks.

The jersey also includes the logo of the Club's main partner, Spotify, on the front for the first time, as well as a message of solidarity in support of refugees with the UNHCR/ACNUR logo below the number on the back.

A shocker to be honest. No redeeming features that I can see.

Its diabolical what Nike have done to the Barcelona kits over the years. This is absolute rubbish. Not Barca, maybe Palace.

I am starting to genuinely believe that whoever designs Barcas kits is a die-hard Real Madrid fan.
Imagine Nike designing new old-firm kits. Rangers new away kit will be green and white hoops and Celtics new blue and white away kit will be the height of Glasgow 'fashion', created by ****s at Nike HQ who have never followed 'soccer' in their life.

It's not a bad kit, but it's certainly not a Barcelona kit.

This might be the worst Barcelona kit of all time, if not the worst kit of all time full stop. It is absolutely awful, especially with that rounded design that doesn't even meet the collar.

I get that there are only so many designs you can do with a club's colours, but this is one that should never have been attempted.

How long did the bozos at Nike take to come up with that? All of 30 seconds, I’m guessing.
