Bayer 04 Leverkusen have unveiled a special-edition football shirt to celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary, inspired by the first jersey worn during the 1907/08 season.
This commemorative kit will be worn during the Bundesliga home game against Holstein Kiel on 5 October and includes several nods to the club's history.
The jersey is predominantly black with a striking red collar and golden buttons, recalling the "costumes" worn by the club over a century ago. The historic club logo from Turn- und Spielverein der Farbenfabriken vorm. Friedrich Bayer & Co. is featured on the left chest, while Castore’s logo and sponsor logos appear in a tone-on-tone black colour.
