Blackburn Rovers 2023-24 Macron Home Kit

Blackburn Rovers 2023-24 Macron Home Kit

Blackburn Rovers have unveiled their new home kit for the 2023/24 season.

The shirt showcases the club's classic blue-and-white halves, with contrasting sleeves and a white collar. A cornflower blue V-neck complements the players' training wear.

As a tribute to the club's history, the words "ROVERS F.C." are printed on the back of the neck and within the blue half of the shirt, using the same font seen near the stadium's Jack Walker statue.

The club's principal partner, Totally Wicked, retains its prominent position on the front of the men's over-18s shirts, now designed in bespoke blue-and-white colours to match the overall look of the kit.

Macron make some very nice kits. Yet again we don't have one of them. Maybe someone in the design department hates Rovers?

I love a collar like that. I could moan a bit about the sponsor but thats nearly the same about all kits.

Macron are own e by Rudi Malini who is an Italian multi-millionaire. His life started badly when he was born with an extra arm. The appendage was not removed until he was 4 years old because his parents were poor and couldn't afford to pay for an operation. His early life blighted and being known as 'Octopus Boy' hardened his resolve and he became a successful businessman by the time he was in his early 20's. After selling several of his businesses he ventured into sportswear. Macron is Italian for Octopus which is a reminder of Malini's early years and how much he has achieved since. The Macron motif shows a figure holding up 2 arms, another reminder of his difficult childhood.

It looks like it is made up of several design ideas mashed together in the hope something works.
I prefer traditional looking Blackburn kits, something that carries a bit of culture and style.
This one is a bit off that for me.
