A great lost shirt, the 2020 Boca Juniors “mashup” design, appears to have become available to purchase after two and a half years.
The design, leaked and expected to have been released by manufacturer Nike to act as a goodbye to the client - in much the same way as the Manchester City version had in 2019 - did not emerge prior to adidas taking over at the Bombonera.
Instead, the creation - representing a patchwork of shirt elements from the American manufacturer’s two-decade association with the Argentine club - has been listed on sale on Pro-Direct Soccer, in June 2022, as a “Third Shirt”.
