Urrgh. If Arsenal had the "bruised banana", then this training top must be the "mutilated g****fruit". I just hope this template doesn't work its way into actual shirts worn by lower league teams supplied by Puma.

Honestly, what is the point of these?
Are these rejected designs for the actual kit carried over because the club(s) think they are worth something?
The players will wear and parade it just to show off for 20 minutes and it's utterly pointless.
As for the design it is horrible.
Poor all round.

Aside from milking the fans for every bit of money they can, very possibly a way of seeing what fans will and won't shell out for.

Enough oeople buy it and these sort of designs may well filter into actual shirt designs.
This is the problem with new shirt releases every year, when you consider clubs are releasing 3,4 5,and even more in some cases, its more and more difficult to get things that seem fresh without looking very samey without going completely bonkers and ott like this one.

  Of course, you are absolutely right. Ideas are thin on the ground and what was once desirable isn't anymore. The designs tend to suit the identity of the kit maker and not the club's anymore.
