Burnley 2022-23 Umbro Home Kit

Burnley FC have revealed their new home kit for the upcoming 22/23 season.

The 2022/23 Umbro home shirt is inspired by the classic kit from the Clarets 1991/92 title winning season and will see the Classic Football Shirts logo emblazoned on the front of the shirt.

The shirt has lightweight micro eyelet to the front and back body help wick away sweat, interlock sleeves for a close fit, and a stylised rib v neck collar.

Absolutely vile. Looks like they’ve let a toddler loose on it with blue paint and a roller. Shocking

I can see the nod to an old kit, and in a way it's fitting that they should do that while being sponsored by a classic shirts company. But the old one was gaudy and messy, and this new one is even worse. Most 90s kits were an affront to public decency; we don't need to go back.

Not for me.
Always like the classic kit, but they will insist in messing around with it!

The original shirt is head and shoulders above the new one and in some respects I wish it had been kept out of the picture so that the new Home kit could be judged on its own merits. I'm having to just compare the two against one another and the latest one is a million miles away from the shirt it wants to be.

Truly awful.

Basing a kit design on a previous shirt that, even at the time, was an affront to sartorial decency shows an element of desperation, and a serious lack of judgement.
