This is Brazilian side Esporte Clube Bahia’s new commemorative shirt, celebrating the 35th anniversary of their 1988 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A win - completed on 19th February 1989.
Nodding to “Tricolor”’s blue, red and white striped adidas design of the time, the iconic “Coca-Cola” branding is replaced with an “Oito-Oito” (“Eight-Eight”) script in white on red and the “Esquadrão”-branded 2024 in-house release also boasts two stars above the full-colour crest to recognise the second national triumph.
The neck and cuffs are in white, like the original version, and there is a small seal near the hem detailing the commemoration.
