FC Basel and Macron have unveiled their new fourth kit in the club’s 2024/25 collection, inspired by the legend of the Basilisk, a mythical creature symbolising the city. The Basilisk, half serpent and half rooster, has deep cultural significance in Basel’s art, architecture, and has also been adopted as a symbol of the club.
The special gold kit reflects the Basilisk’s golden egg, with red and Bordeaux accents symbolising its fiery eyes. The shirt features vertical embossed stripes with repeated Basilisk motifs, complemented by a Bordeaux Macron logo and a monochrome FC Basel badge with two stars for their 20 Swiss Championships.
The inside neck label features a black background with a white Basilisk image, the ball from the club’s badge, and the lettering "FC BASEL 1893." A customised tape along the inside back hem repeats the phrase "BRENNE FÜR DEN FCB" (Burning for FCB) in white, while a red Basilisk image is printed behind the neck. The shorts are gold with Bordeaux drawstrings and side bands, and the socks are gold with a Bordeaux cuff and a red stripe.
