Hellas Verona 2022-23 Macron Third Kit

This is the new Third shirt for Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona Football Club.

The 2022-23 Macron secondary-change design is in a turquoise tone with yellow-and-deep-blue embellishment, including, in the lattermost tone, as well as the crest, a representation of the club’s home city’s famous Arena di Verona.

The Roman amphitheatre - which has occasionally played host to a semblance of Hellas Verona during the club’s 119-year history - features on the lower portion of the shirt, while the “Hero” logos of the outfitting compatriots appear on the chest and sleeves, along with other partner branding.

To complete the kit, the Eco-Fabric-incorporating, sustainability-focussed shirt is combined with turquoise shorts and socks in order to form a nominally single-coloured look.

These 3rd shirts are pointless, just an exercise in marketing. Most of them will probably never have an outing (e.g. it's hard to see how a team playing in light blue like Verona will ever need a turquoise shirt as an alternative). I find prints on shirts mostly hideous and, besides, these are details that are completely lost when you watch a game. All in all, it's only marketing and some exercise in trying to convince supporters and collectors to part with their money and pay extortionate prices for "novelty" shirts that will soon be forgotten. It's a funny business
