Liverpool 2022-23 Nike Away Kit

Liverpool FC have unveiled their new away kit for 2022-23 season.

The dizzying new Nike design is inspired by the city's vibrant music scene and in particular the pioneering role it played in the '90s dance music scene.

Playing to its own beat, Liverpool’s away shirt harps back to a time when its clubs ruled the world, with an iridescent, multi-coloured marbled pattern over a white base colour.

On the reverse is a block of white to emphasise the individuality of each player’s name and number. The shirt is finished with a black sleeve cuff anchoring the dizzying design.

The reverse of the jersey also features the 97 emblem encased by the Eternal Flames sitting proudly at the nape of the neck in memory of the children, women and men who lost their lives at Hillsborough. The change from 96 to 97 from this season is in recognition of Andrew Stanley Devine, the 97th person unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.

Don't mind the psychodelic front so much but that plain white patch at the back? Terrible bit of design!

I am colour blind so this looks a bit weird to me. At first I thought it was pink then grey, then I had to stop looking at it. It now looks sort of green a bit? I don’t know what’s going on with it? I don’t really like it though because of this. Hopefully the third is a whopper and not the leaks I’ve seen which is more of this stuff but in dark green….I think?

It’s different I have no problem with that. Way better than away kits from first year with Nike, not to mention garbage from new balance. Long term contract, Nike will try every color combination possible.
