Rayados 2023-24 Puma Away Kit

Club de Fútbol Monterrey - Rayados - of Mexico’s Liga MX, have unveiled their 2023-24 Away shirt.

The new white design from Puma features a dual-toned diagonal sash - in royal blue and navy - and parallel thin stripes acting as ripples from this feature.

The crest is in standard form, the technical partner’s logo has a two-tone gradient effect and the design is framed with a navy neck and royal blue cuffs, with the kit being completed by complementing shorts and socks.

Overall would have been better without the mass of sponsorship logos on the back.

Not sure that this team actually exists. Could be another false flag club like Roy and his Rovers only Mexican? The cuisine is the same every time, it's just rolled a different way, with the same ingredients. As a former Philharmonic flautist, one is reminded of Dvorak's 11th symphony: thumping and incomplete and awash with cumbersome frills and appreccios. This shirt, although culturally acceptable, needs some work. Back to the drawing board Mr. Nike!

As a side note, the legendary Northern Ireland winger, Noel Brotherston finished his career at this club in 1989. He was top scorer in the Mexican 5th tier that season with 7 goals and 3 assists. In May, tragedy struck when the club coach crashed on a trip to an away game and all but 3 of the first team perished. Brotherston survived despite having both legs and half his right arm amputated. He retired from football and owned a sweet shop in Bury St Edmunds until his death in 2006. He is survived by his wife Wendy and children Colin, Wesley and Jaun-Sebastian.
