This is the new Club Atlético River Plate away - or “Visitante” - shirt by adidas.
In red and white, the modern graphic of the 2022-23 release is informed by retrospectivity as it is inspired by the design of the change shirts worn by River in their glorious campaigns of 1986. That year, the Buenos Aires side triumphed in Argentina’s Primera División championship, the Copa Interamericana, the Copa Libertadores and, most notably, the Intercontinental Cup.
The word “Grandeza” (greatest) appears on the upper back, while the club crest is rendered in full colour and the German manufacturer’s branding - alongside other partner wordmarks - is in white.

Completing the kit, the shorts and socks are also in red, forming a nominally single-coloured outfit.
