Southampton 2022-23 Hummel Third Kit

Southampton have revealed their new Third kit for the 22/23 season.

Created in partnership with hummel, the new Southampton FC third kit has been designed taking inspiration from the city's rich aviation history and its connections to the RAF. The dark green and black shirt features a subtle detail design, taking reference from propellor blades.

Launched under the campaign, Bold is Brave, the club is celebrating bravery both on and off the pitch. The shirt features four stripes on either side of the shirt, in yellow, white, red and blue, taking inspiration from the RAF Roundel.

The kit is matched with dark green shorts and green and black socks. The socks also feature the four stripes inspired by the RAF Roundel.

More than the RAF, I think it is referencing the Spitfire.

The Spitfire was designed and first produced in Southampton.

I like the dominant color and the side panels but i wonder why Hummel’s logo is black with white borders.

Really like this kit. The colurs are nice but whats this sh*t about the raf and propellers. So many teams this season have had mentions about irrelevant things inspired on their shirts!

I think it’s good ,,, largely due to the fact that the 2 other kits are quite awful I think Southampton fans deserved a least one good kit

Good kit and a **** sight better than the turgid away kit this year - didn't think it was green and black though just looked black and dark grey! What's all this guff with associations with the RAF - smacks of all that nonsense you get in the US with NFL jerseys in camo on Veterans Day?

I actually like it but I dont see 'propeller blades' either.
Why not make it more obvious if that was the plan. Nice colours. Unusual. I always liked the Napoli camo and the Legia 'Army Club' green kit.
