Stade de Reims, of France’s “Ligue 1” top division, have revealed this special-edition shirt created in collaboration with musical artist Cauchemar (Guillaume Brière).
The new Umbro-branded 2024 release was debuted in this weekend’s defeat against Lille and is in black with generally silver-cum-iridescent detailing - including nods to local culture in the patterning - but also has a red heart next to the crest which is in gold on three versions, spelling prize-winning for three purchasers.
The shirt has been launched with long sleeves, due to its inspiration coming from its designer’s love of long-sleeved 1990s Umbro shirts, and against Lille it was worn (generally with short sleeves) in combination with matching shorts and socks to form a kit.
