During their Bundesliga match against VfL Bochum on Saturday 2 April, TSG Hoffenheim will be wearing a specially designed Africa jersey.
Created by Joma, the TSG Africa jersey is inspired by African ethnic patterns. The creative look of the jersey is supported by the colourful highlights, which are based on the colours of umoja: Deep Jungle, African Dust, Night Sky.
The jerseys will feature the logo of TSG's own sustainable clothing brand "umoja". "umoja" is Swahili and stands for "unity". This logo swap is being made possible thanks to TSG's main sponsor SAP, who are waiving their trademark for the match against Bochum in favour of "umoja".

20% of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts, as well as those generated by an auction of the "match worn" shirts, will go to partner "Viva con Agua" for the "Football4Wash" project in Uganda, where "umoja" is produced.
For years, TSG Hoffenheim has focused its international activities on Africa, supporting sustainable development on the continent on a number of different fronts.
Africa is directly affected by the war in Ukraine: last year, Africa was supplied with wheat, corn, cooking oil and other staple foods worth about 6 billion euros from Ukraine and Russia. The UN fears that supplies will be partially or completely cut off and anticipates a severe global food crisis. This is compounded by the current drought, crop failures and the effects of climate change.
