Middlesbrough FC announced the return of Errea as Boro’s official Technical Kit Partner ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Italian sportswear brand, who create bespoke kits for a worldwide network of clubs and national sides, are signed up to produce Boro’s shirts in a multi-year agreement.
Founded in Torrile, Italy in 1988, Errea’s first overseas venture was with Boro when they became official kit supplier back in 1994 ahead of our final season at Ayresome Park.

Errea continued to produce their shirts as they moved to the Riverside Stadium, and ensured that the team had threads to match with a series of innovative and now iconic designs.
Their brand is synonymous with the most successful period in the club's history, kitting out Boro’s players for the club’s League Cup triumph in 2004 and the adventures in European football in the two seasons that followed.
Jo-Ann Swinnerton, Middlesbrough FC’s Head of Retail, said: “We are delighted to welcome Errea on board as our official Technical Kit Partner.
“The club and Errea have a shared heritage, and we’re looking forward to rekindling the relationship which proved such a success.
“Errea have produced some of the best-loved kits in our history, and we’re already excited to reveal to our fans what’s in store for next season.”
Fabrizio Taddei, Errea’s Head of Global Partnership Department said: “All of our club partnerships are important to us, but there is something very special about reconnecting with Middlesbrough. Our last time together spanned 14 seasons and produced some shirts that have become iconic to Boro fans, as they were worn by some fantastic players in a period that included one of the most exciting cup runs in European football history.
“As a family-owned company, we have a lot in common with Boro and it is not an exaggeration to say that the internal announcement, here at Errea, created genuine excitement, as almost everyone involved with our last partnership are still here and there is definitely a sense of ‘Coming Home’ for all of us.
“As ever, we have worked very closely with the club on the new designs and we are excited to see the reaction of the fans, to what we have produced.”
The club would also like to place on record its thanks to existing kit provider hummel for their contribution over the last four seasons.
