Nike and Atletico Madrid Renew Kit Deal

Nike has just announced the renewal of its collaboration agreement with the current Spanish league champions, Atlético de Madrid, until 2026. The agreement, which started in 2001, will be valid at least until 2026, thus cementing a 25-year relationship.

Nike and Atlético de Madrid started their collaboration during the 2001 season, and a 25-year collaboration will be sealed once this deal is signed.

“We are extremely proud to announce the continuation of the agreement with Atlético de Madrid, which first started in 2001. The philosophies of hard work and team spirit that have made the club Spanish League champions, are 100 percent in keeping with Nike's core values,” stated Trevor Edwards, President of the Nike Brand.

Think Nike is starting to get a little concerned about the new Adidas contracts with Man U. and Juventus?

Time to sure up deals with their other big clubs to prevent any other teams from jumping into the three stripes.
