Partick Thistle have been given a financial boost after agreeing a five-year, six-figure deal with Glasgow retailer Greaves Sports.
The agreement will see Puma become the Firhill club's new kit manufacturer, while Greaves Sports will take over the running of the Thistle club shop.

The Glasgow-based independent sports retailer, Greaves Sports, has agreed a five-year, six-figure deal to become the official retail partner of Partick Thistle.
The partnership takes effect from June 1 and as part of the agreement Greaves has secured sportswear giants Puma as the Firhill club’s new kit manufacturer . Greaves and Puma will launch new home and away kits for the Jags ahead of the 2008/09 season.
The Greaves Sports retail partnership with Thistle means that from this summer:
• Greaves Sports will take over the running of the Thistle club shop at Firhill.
• Greaves will also manage Thistle’s online shop and overseas sales.
• A section of Greaves’ Sauchiehall Street store will be dedicated to Partick Thistle.
• Season ticket books for 2008/09 will include Greaves’ discount vouchers for next season’s kits.
• Greaves Sports becomes a Thistle partner.
Sandy Greaves, managing director of Greaves Sports, is delighted to have teamed up one famous Glasgow institution with another.

"The experience and expertise we have of running the SRU’s shop at Murrayfield will be invaluable when we take over the Firhill club shop and online facility at the start of June. Online sales are a massive part of the retail game these days – ours increased 185% over the Christmas period against the previous year – and this is an area we firmly believe we can help Thistle capitalise on.
"Additionally, the deal with Puma becoming Thistle’s kit supplier will help take the club to the next level. Puma is a world leader in its field when it comes to football kit so I’m sure the new strips for next season will be a real hit with the Thistle supporters."

Greaves Sports is a family-run business which has been established in Glasgow since the 1960s. It has three stores, one each on Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street as well as a Nike shop in Buchanan Galleries, while it runs the Scottish Rugby store at Murrayfield as the official retail partner of Scottish Rugby.
