The group, which is owned and run by Arthur Harris, is backing Scarborough Athletic this season in a significant deal for the club.

Mr Harris said: “The directors of Y50 are very pleased to be associated with Scarborough Athletic. Having seen the unbelievable efforts the supporters and the board have gone to in order to maintain a football club in the town it was felt that if we could offer some sort of support we should do.

“We wish the club all the very best for the coming season, hopefully the very loyal supporters will continue to make the journey to Bridlington but I am sure we all look forward to a return to playing in Scarborough in the very near future.”

Boro chairman Simon Cope said: “We are extremely delighted to have the backing of Arthur Harris and his company, and I’m excited that our relationship going forward will be a positive one.

“The deal signifies that businesses with local links are behind Scarborough Athletic FC, and that can only bode very well for the future.”

10/10 for me! I like also the choice of Guinness as sponsor: classic and descreet (I wouldn't use black background in away shirt). Guest is right: they're masterpieces!

During the club's heyday in the 1880s, the teams' shirts were very pale and, it is quite blackburn rovers 1895 hard to distinguish the halves. Some images of the great FA Cup winnings sides are badly over-exposed but there are so many photographs of the team from this period that we can be confident that the shirts were in pale Cambridge blue and white.
Light blue was reintroduced in 1986, at first as the main colour of the stockings and between 1990 and 1992 on the shirts themselves, a conscious reference to the club's early colours.

Really nice designs but the home shirt has to be a darker more traditional Rovers blue
