St Mirren Football Club announced the complete pathway for season 2012-2013 kits as well as a change of the kit manufacturer from Carbrini to Diadora.
This will be the best ever financial deal for St Mirren Football Club and combined with a great brand in Diadora.
The kits will be launched as follows:
135th Anniversary Kit – April 2012
Home Kit 2012-2013 – May 2012
Away Kit season 2012-2013 – August 2012
While the design of the new home kit will remain secret until nearer the time we are happy to show you images of next season’s black away kit (see image on the top left) and remind you of the winning design for the 135th Anniversary kit (see image at the top right of the article).
Commenting on the deal Guy Walker of JD Sports said: “We have been delighted at the sales that have been achieved for the Club this season, so much so that we are sorry that some fans have been unable to get some sizes or styles simply because we have sold more kit than anyone could have predicted. We put this down to a mixture of things, more presence in major retail spaces e.g Braehead and Silverburn, the bespoke nature of the design proving particularly popular, especially the away kit, and the high quality of the garments themselves.
“Now that we have had our first year of experience and sales figures and because we will bring forward next season’s kit launches we should not suffer any kit shortages for next year.”
Commenting on the deal on behalf of the Club, Richard Atkinson said “Our kit sponsor and supplier is one of the most key commercial relationships that the Club has, it brings significant revenue into the Club which helps significantly with the standard of player that the Club can employ. I am delighted that due to the incredibly strong sales of the kit this season, which has unfortunately led to some styles selling out, we have been able to negotiate an even better deal for next season. This on the back of last year’s great deal and in an incredibly tight market for this sort of sponsorship and supply deal, shows the real strength of both the St Mirren and Carbrini brands.”
