The 1st leg was a classic in Turin, finishing 2-2 as the hosts came from behind twice through Casagrande. The 2nd leg was an agonising affair as they went for the crucial away goal, hitting the post and bar but unfortunately it was not to be and the 0-0 scoreline favoured the Amsterdam outfit. The No.2 shirt was worn by tenacious defender Pasquale Bruno in the 1st leg who, as usual, picked up a yellow card which ruled him out of the return game. With Bruno suspended the No.2 shirt was worn by the more technical and versatile defender Roberto Mussi in Amsterdam. It has not been confirmed whether the shirt is from the 1st or 2nd leg.
