Montreal Manic 1981 player shirt by All Canadian Sports Equipment believed to have been match worn by Hill in the 1981 campaign. Hill had enjoyed a spell in the NASL 1973 scoring 16 goals in 21 games for Chicago Sting before returning to action in England.
After a successful stint with Man United where he won an FA Cup and picked up 6 caps for England and transfers to Derby Country and QPR he found himself back in the NASL this time with Montreal Manic.

This was the Manic's debut season in the division and they reached the Play-Off Quarter Finals before losing out to Hill's old team and eventual winners the Sting. The midfielder Hill made 36 appearances for the club and impressed with 18 goals. Manic only lasted two more seasons before dissolving in 1984.
