Adidas 1982 Chicago Sting Match Worn Away Shirt

Chicago Sting 1982 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn by Hill in the 1982 campaign. Hill had enjoyed a spell at the Sting in 1973 scoring 16 goals in 21 games before returning to action in England.

After a successful stint with Man United where he won an FA Cup and picked up 6 caps for England and transfers to Derby Country and QPR he found himself back in Chicago via Montreal Manic.

Hill made 26 appearances scoring 9 goals in this season as the side finished 4th place in the Eastern Division which was not enough for the '81 NASL champions to qualify for the play-offs. The Sting who were named after the 1973 film of the same name that was set in Chicago went on to play in the MISL before dissolving in 1988.
