Northern Ireland 1982 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been issued to Nelson for the 1982 World Cup Finals in Spain.
This was the nations second ever appearance at a World Cup Finals after 1958 and they put in some legendary performances to incredibly top their group ahead of the hosts.
This stunning white away shirt with a superb pinstripe design is 'the' iconic kit from the tournament worn when Billy Bingham's men did the unthinkable and beat Spain 1-0 in Valencia. It was also used in the opening group game, a 0-0 draw with Yugoslavia when Norman Whiteside became the youngest player ever to play at a World Cup and in the next round when the dream came to an end with a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of France in the Calderón. The Highbury hero Nelson started the game against Austria and came off the bench to play on that momentous night when Gerry Armstrong's goal put the team into football folklore with the victory against the hosts. The full back spent 15 years with The Gunners and represented his country 51 times, retiring from duty after this tournament.
