Adidas 1984 France U-21 Match Worn Home Shirt

France 1984 U-21 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn in an U-21 friendly match against Holland played in Leeuwarden on the 10th October 1984.

The match was a thriller with Les Bleus 1-0 down, then 2-1 up before going on to lose 4-2 to the hosts who rallied late in the second half with Edwin Bakker scoring a hat-trick.

In the France team on the night were future full internationals Stephane Paille and Laurent Fournier while John Bosman led the line for the Dutch. This famous pinstripe design was used by the senior side between 1980-82 but was kept on for longer by the youth teams.
