Holland 1989 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been issued to a #19 for the 1989 season.
The KNVB celebrated their centenary in 1989 and the side wore shirts featuring the special crest against West Germany and Finland in World Cup qualifiers in April & May '89.
Although those designs did not feature a collar, the collar was added to the style for the first home match of the 89-90 season against Finland in November '89 but by this time they had returned to wearing the traditional crest. This shirt is a spare prepared in case of the new home shirt being required while the KNVB 100 badge was still in service. The KNVB celebrated their 100th anniversary by successfully reaching the World Cup Finals in Italy in 1990.
