Adidas 1989 Yugoslavia Match Worn Home Shirt

Yugoslavia 1989 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn by Savevski in the friendly match against England played at Wembley on the 13th December 1989.

Savevski played the full match as Yugoslavia were eventually beaten 2-1 by the hosts. Haris Skoro gave the side the lead after 17 minutes and Wembley was restless when it remained the Three Lions remained 1-0 down at half-time.

It took a double salvo from captain Bryan Robson to turn the match around for England. The match was the final ever meeting between England and Yugoslavia and historically there had always been little to choose between the two countries on the pitch. This Climalite 2000 design was also used in the successful qualification campaign for the 1990 World Cup. Savevski moved to Greece from Macedonia in '88 and won 4 league titles with AEK and is remembered as being one of their greatest ever imports.
