Cantona started up front with Jean-Pierre Papin and played the full match as France prepared to take part at Euro 92 in Sweden. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Brian Roy cancelling out Papin's opener. Cantona would go on to play his first and only major international tournament this summer, retiring from international football in '95 after 45 appearances and 20 goals. It was at Old Trafford where he made himself a global superstar, helping United to 4 Premier League titles and 2 FA Cup's in a glorious 5 year stay.
