Both sides were ambitious to win the group and both were going into this game having already dropped points so the pressure was on. It was to be Romania who suffered a further setback though unfortunately in this thrilling encounter that ended in a 5-2 triumph for Denmark.
Romania actually twice led in the game but in the second half the visitors ran riot scoring four goals. Rădoi played the full match but wore a short sleeved shirt. In the end it was neck and neck between Romania and Denmark for top spot but a 2-2 draw in Copenhagen put the Danes through at the expense of Anghel Iordanescu's men.
