Belgium 1981 player shirt by Admiral believed to have been match worn by Millecamps in the 1982 World Cup Qualification Group 2 match against Holland played at de Kuip, Rotterdam ont he 14th October '81.
Belgium had already secured their place in the Finals in Spain next summer ahead of this fixture against their old rivals. It had been a great campaign for Guy Thijs' men to reach their first World Cup Finals since 1970 and doing so from such a tough group which also included France and Ireland.
Millecamps played the full match here and was selected for the World Cup squad as he had been for Euro 80. For the Dutch this was a crucial game and they secured what was for them a vital 3-0 victory with goals from Metgod, van Kooten and Geels wearing their white away kit despite being at home. Belgium were wearing this superb Admiral shirt, a design that was introduced this year and one at which the world would marvel at Spain '82. De Rode Duivels returned to Adidas kits though for Euro 84 but Admiral had made quite an impression in their brief tenure with this revolutionary design.
