The seller added the following : As promised ! This week I am selling several rare original player / club issued shirts. They are ALL rare and ALL of them are authentic and original. Check my feedback for eight years of happy buyers and know that you are buying GENUINE shirts. This original GENUINE player / club shirt is the LIVERPOOL *TRAINING TOP* from the early to mid 1970s.

If you have seen any old photos of Liverpool players training from that era you will have seen them wearing these red Umbro tops. They are distinguishable by the old-style Umbro diamond on the chest which is black on the outside, a white inner line and blue in the centre.
All of these tops are also known for having LIVERPOOL sewn on to the back in the arc and also for having the striped cuffs and collar. This top still has the Umbro neck label intact (if a little faded) and again this dates the top to the mid 1970s.
Size of the top is an ADULTS MEDIUM. Condition is VERY GOOD - there is light fading to the top and one small hole at the bottom of the back. This is a STUNNING top and is incredibly rare.
