Wales 1988 player shirt by Hummel believed to have been issued to Jackett for the 1990 World Cup Qualification Group 4 match against Holland played at the Olympic Stadium, Amsterdam on the 14th September '88.
Wales faced the unenviable task of kicking off their Italia '90 qualifying campaign away at the newly crowned European Champions who boasted the formidable trio of van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard. And it was one of the AC Milan heroes who got the decisive goal with the captain and talisman Ruud Gullit finding the winner in the 82nd minute. It was unfortunate for Wales who were just 8 minutes away from a great start. Jackett was an unused substitute for this game and his last international appearance had actually already come earlier in the year against Sweden. The one-club man represented Wales 31 times in total between 1982-88. This great white Hummel design would be one of the rarest of his long international career though given that it was only worn in this one match due to the famous orange of the Dutch clashing with both Wales' red home and yellow away kits.
Correct player size Hummel number printed within the material, fully embroidered crest, design not commercially available, swapped with a Holland player and comes from their own personal collection - a signed letter verifying this will be provided.
