An absolute thriller of a Semi Final played out on a water logged pitch and it was won by Ajax 3-2 with striker John Bosman bagging a brace before getting himself sent off. Richard Witschge had got the opener with Ruben Sosa and Señor converting for Zaragoza in crazy conditions. Silooy wore this short sleeved shirt in the first half of the game before changing into a long sleeved shirt for the second half. Ajax went on to win the trophy beating Lokomotiv Leipzig in the Final.
