Benfica 1995-96 player shirt by Olympic believed to have been match worn by Dimas in the UEFA Cup Third Round 1st leg match against Bayern Munich played at the Olympic Stadium on the 21st November 1995.
Benfica were unfortunate to run into Jurgen Klinsmann in unstoppable form with the legendary striker on fire to score an incredible 4 goals in a stunning 20 minute spell in the game.
Dimas himself scored an equaliser on the half hour mark but less than 60 seconds later Klinsmann had found the net again to restore the hosts lead, he did so twice more to wrap up en emphatic 4-1 victory on an ice cold night in Munich. The Águias had defeated Lierse and Roda JC to reach this stage but the German giants were rampant and came to Lisbon and won 3-1 also. Dimas was establishing himself as Portugal's top left back in this campaign, earning his international debut before a transfer to Juventus in November '96.
