AS Roma 1982-83 player shirt by Patrick believed to have been match worn by Nappi in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 2nd leg match against Ipswich Town played at Portman Road on the 29th September 1982.
Roma wore this one-off shirt with no club badge or Barilla sponsor in only this match during the season. The Giallorossi had beaten the 1981 UEFA Cup winners 3-0 in the 1st leg in Rome so came to England in a comfortable position.

Nils Liedholm's men felt the pressure though when they went 2-0 down but an Aldo Maldera goal settled their nerves and they went through to the next round despite a 3-1 defeat. Nappi played the full match here and was a regular in this his first season at the Olimpico after signing from Perugia. It would go on to be a glorious year for Roma as they won their first Scudetto since 1942 with Falcao, Pruzzo and Conti inspirational. The club wore Patrick shirts for just this one triumphant campaign before switching to Kappa and the shirt worn at Portman Road is the rarest and most collectable of all from this special season.
Correct player size print professionally heat pressed, embroidered Patrick logo is machine stiched, made from 100% acrylic, only one to this specification with no crest and sponsor in this one match and not available commercially, swapped with an Ipswich player and comes from their personal collection - a signed letter verifying this can be provided.
