Yokohama Flügels 1993 player shirt by Puma believed to have been issued to or worn by Rodríguez in the 1993 season.
The Flügels were founder members of the J.League and participated in this its inaugural season. Rodríguez, nicknamed La Chelona, was a star of the El Salvador team that played at the 1982 World Cup and had moved to Japan and Yokohama in '92.
The defender made only 2 appearances in this year though before returning to his first club Alianza. The side won the Emperor's Cup beating Kashima Antlers in the Final and finished 6th place in the J.League. Sadly though after the 1998 season the club was dissolved after a merger with local rivals Yokohama Marinos.
