Brazil 1989 player shirt by Topper believed to have been match worn by Careca in the friendly match against Holland played at de Kuip, Rotterdam on the 20th December 1989.
Careca was the skipper and led from the front scoring the winner with a superb header in the 54th minute. It was the first meeting of the two nations since the 1974 World Cup but the European Champions could not repeat the feat achieved by Cruyff and co going down 1-0 here.
Careca was in superb form in this campaign and went on to win the Serie A title with Napoli before starring at the 1990 World Cup. The prolific striker played on until '93 before retiring from international football after 64 appearances and 30 goals. This was the final design that Brazilian manufacturers Topper produced for the national team and used until '91 when Umbro took over.
