The Friendship Cup was a round-robin tournament with Brazil and Mexico involved also with Colombia wearing this design shirt against the latter in a 0-0 draw. Torino only manufacturered the sides kits for a short time before Umbro took over. Valencia go on to make 37 appearances scoring 14 goals in total for Los Cafeteros and represented them at two World Cup Finals.
