The side wore their red away shirts despite being at home and then played in their home kit over in Helsinki in the return fixture. Wilkins played the full match here but was nearing the end of his international career after making his debut back in '76. Now with AC Milan the former Chelsea and Man Utd star hung up his boots after the tournament with 86 caps to his name but still went on to play for a decade more at club level.
