Colombia 1993 player shirt by Umbro believed to have issued for the 1993 season and was given as a gift following the friendly match against the USA played in Miami on the 8th May '93.
Colombia wore sponsored shirts in that particular game which they won 2-1. Umbro had taken over from local brand Torino and shirts to this specification were worn from February '93 onwards.
This design was used at the 1993 Copa America and in the successful qualification campaign for the 1994 World Cup as Valderrama and co sealed their place at the Finals ensuring they would be back on US soil again next year. A new Umbro design was worn at USA '94 and the English manufacturer remained the kit maker for La Tricolor until 1997.
