Umbro 1994 Hungary Match Worn Away Shirt

Hungary 1994 player shirt by Umbro believed to have been match worn by Halmai in the friendly match against Holland played at the Philips Stadion, Eindhoven on the 1st June 1994.

This was the Dutch's final warm-up game before they headed off to the USA '94 World Cup. Hungary provided a shock going 1-0 up with a Béla Illés penalty after Frank Rijkaard had handled.

The lead was short lived and by the end of the game the side must have wished they hadn't agreed to play. Bergkamp, Roy, Koeman, Taument and Rijkaard got the goals as Holland went on the rampage to crush Hungary with an emphatic 7-1 victory to head off to America in style. Halmai played the full match and represented his country 57 times between 1993-2001. This was the last year that Hungary wore Umbro kits as they switched to Adidas in 1995.

Correct player size flock print professionally heat pressed, fully embroidered crest and Umbro logo, design not commercially available, swapped with a Holland player and comes from their collection - a signed letter verifying this can be provided.
