Umbro 1994 Scotland Match Worn Home Shirt

Scotland 1994 player shirt by Umbro believed to have been match worn by either Gordon Durie or John McGinlay in one of the friendly matches against Holland played in 1994.

The two sides met at Hampden Park in March when Bryan Roy curled in a spectacular winner in the first half and then just over two months later they played again in Utrecht when Roy was again on the scoresheet as the Dutch cruised to a 3-1 win.

The Dutch player who the shirt comes from played in both of these matches meaning it could be either Durie's shirt from Glasgow or John McGinlay's shirt from Stadion Galgenwaard, each player wore a long sleeved #9 shirt in the games. The Glasgow match was the first outing for this tartan strip which would go on to be remembered as an all-time classic and was used in the successful qualification campaign for Euro 96 and the Finals themselves.
